Consumer or Producer?

How do you see yourself relating to your church and to your faith -- as a consumer or as a producer? 

Do you expect church and faith to always be giving something to you?  Meeting your needs?  On your terms? 

What about your giving to church and faith?  Meeting other people's needs?  On their terms?
